For our first concert , we present delightful evening of song. Accompanied by strings and harpsichord, we will open the concert with a vibrant collection of pieces written by Henry Purcell for evening entertainments. After some delightful French works by Gabriel Fauré and Georges Bizet, we will cross the Atlantic to America where we’ll hear works by Stephen Foster, Dominick Argento and Dan Forrest. The evening of song will then conclude with some exquisite love songs in a jazz style.
